My Merry, Merry First Christmas!

Mom and Dad took me down to Austin for my very first Christmas. It was fun to spend the day with my uncles Brock and Zane. I even got to go see my Auntie Dena, Nana, and Opa in Kyle, on Christmas Eve. Nana and Opa got me a caterpillar that you can ride on and Auntie Dena got me a teapot that sings. I carry it around everywhere!

I had so much fun opening presents, although I definitely liked the paper better than anything else!

Santa even left Brock, Zane, and me a note.

Ho, Ho, Ho everyone!

I MET SANTA!

Everyone, I had a wonderful day. I met Santa Claus. He was big and jolly and super nice. He told mom and dad that I was a great baby girl - I didn't even flinch when mom set me on his lap! Here is my official shot with him. We were checking each other out...

Here are a couple of other photos that dad got of the two of us. I really though that he a was pretty cool guy (in case you can't tell, spot on with the "curiously stare" votes!).

Here are some photos of the family decorating our Christmas tree. It was so much fun. I loved all the ornaments. Mom and Dad even let me help out.
And, finally, here are some of my official Christmas photos. Aren't I a cutie?

My Second California Visit!!

Mom decided to take another trip to visit YaYa before she starts work next week (she passed the Texas Bar! Yay!!) and she took me along. Although I missed Daddy, it was a wonderful trip!

I got to go to my Opa Horst's house and see his trains. They were sooo neat! They made sounds and lit up and moved all around. I may build some trains like his someday.

Mom and I made chocolate chip cookies one day. I really like chocolate chip cookies.

I got to meet Katalina (I think that is how you spell her name). She is only a little bit older than me. At first I thought that she was a toy that I could pick up and play with, but then I figured out that she was a baby too and I gave her hugs and kisses.

YaYa got this alphabet train for me. I had so much fun playing with it. It sang, and lit up, and even shoots out blocks!

And here is just plain old adorable me!

Halloween Party Fun!

I went down to Austin this weekend and went Trick -or-Treating with Uncle Brock and Uncle Zane. This is all the candy I got (minus what mom and dad already stole from me...)
Here I am in my costume. I also had a cowboy hat and boots (both pink) but I didnt like to wear them too much...
Here I am at Aunt Deena's for an Alice in Wonderland tea party. Uncle Brock and Uncle Zane were Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum..
And this is me just being me...
With Mom at a REALLY big house.
And at the petting zoo that Uncle Brock and Uncle Zane had at their party! I saw so many animals!

I'm a Walker and a Talker!

My Month of Firsts!

I figured out this walking stuff at 8 1/2 months (good voting people...mom says I should have you vote for the winning lotto numbers...). My YaYa says that my Uncle Josh learned to walk pretty early too, so I must take after him. I know mom was a slow learner, but I am not too sure about dad, maybe he learned early too. We are going to go shoe shopping this week since now I always want to walk wherever we go! I think I'm going to go for pink Velcro sneakers. What do you guys think?

I also said my first word - "dada" of course. In the last few weeks I've also turned "dada" into "daddy" and something that sounds eerily like "die! die! die!" At least it is Halloween appropriate. Last night I also said what sounded like "baba" Mom and dad aren't too sure what it meant (I don't eat from a bottle), so they'll have to see what "baba" means.

Oh and I also have SIX teeth now. Four on top and two on the bottom. This means I can eat pretty much anything mom and dad throw my way! I love those Gerbers rice puff things. Thanks Aunty Esther for the reccommendation!

Pumpkin Patch Fun!

Today I got my Halloween pumpkin. It weighs more than me!!! I also sat on a HUGE pumpkin, played with some really tiny pumpkins, and had a super fun day at the Dallas Farmer's Market with mom and dad. Check out my photos below:

Boston Vacation

Mom and I went to Boston last weekend to visit Aunt Sarah. We had such a good time. While we were there I got to play with Stephen and Mary, who were so much fun. We did pedicures, made a huge puzzle (I ate the pieces), and went apple picking. Here are some photos from my adventures:

This is my aunt Sarah playing with me.

This is everyone at the Tougas Family Farm.

I love apples!

Mary and me as sunflowers...

Here I am picking the some Honey Crisp apples... delicious!

Here we are at the pumpkin patch...

and with my mom...

I loved both of these, but mom said we couldn't get them back on the airplane.
