Grandpa Joel & Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day Moms Everywhere!
I have been a pretty busy girl lately. Here I am with mom before lunch today. We went to Carrabba's. I got her the beautiful necklace and earrings that she is wearing in this photo for Mother's Day. I also woke her up with kisses this morning.
"MMM-waa!" That's how I "kiss" these days...
We went to the mall yesterday - I got this cute dress. Dad thinks I look like an Orphan, but I think I look pretty hip!

Here I am at the aquarium with Dad. It was so much fun!

And this is my Grandpa Joel. He lives in Oregon, but got to come see me last week! I love him and miss him already!

Swimming Pools...the Zoo...and my first Pee!

Let me just start by saying sorry, everyone. My mom made me add that last one. It wasn't really my first pee, but it was the first time I went pee in my big girl potty. Mom and Dad bought me a toilet a little while ago and everyday mom pulls my pants down and sits me on it, which I usually think is pretty funny. Well this morning I fooled her, and I went pee. Mom was a little bit too proud of me, clapping and cheering and shouting and all, but I guess this means that we are on our way to potty training and maybe I can loose these diapers soon.
Now that we have that out of the way, let me show you what I have been up to. The photo above is me at Nolan's first birthday party. He had it at the zoo, which was really fun. I got to see all sorts of animals. Happy Birthday Nolan!

Here I am petting a python at Nolan's party. I was way more brave than my Mom. This python's name is Monty and the zookeeper said he smells with his tongue!

I am laughing at mom and dad in this photograph. I have had a stomach virus all week (no need for concern- I am better now). I was in a surprisingly good mood all week though - I am one tough cookie.

This is the pool that Dad bought for me. It has a slide and a giraffe that shoots water out of his mouth. I love having a backyard!

Mom has been putting these bows in my hair all week. I'm not sure why, I really don't like them one bit, but I left them in long enough for her to take a photo this time.

Now some of you may already know this, but I have been sleeping in a big girl bed (no crib anymore!) for a few weeks now. I much prefer it to my crib. I am becoming such a big girl!

An Amazing Easter in Austin...

Last weekend was Easter and boy did I have a great time! I got to dye eggs with my uncles Brock and Zane and my Grandma Shea. I got a big basket from the Easter bunny - it had chocolate eggs, marshmallow eggs, peeps, puzzles, a coloring book, and even a little bunny bath bomb. I also got a big duck that quacks and sings if you squeeze his foot. I love to make him sing in the car and quack along with him - "Quack, quack, quack..." Mom and dad think it is pretty funny. Mom and dad also let me eat as much chocolate as I wanted. I really like chocolate... I had so much fun.

Here I am with my Easter basket about to go hunt down some eggs. I wasn't too sure at first, but I got the hang of it pretty fast and found so many!

Here I am doing it all by myself!
A purple one to go with my others...

This BIG egg had money inside of it! It was great. It had all sorts of coins that rattled around.

My Nana had this car at her house. It was on a zip line and went so fast - I even knocked down my Uncle Zane at one point. I would have rode in this all day if we didn't have to get back up to Dallas. Thanks for pushing me along Uncle Brock!

And here is my Nana pushing me. She is so strong!

This is the duck, I mentioned above. Also, my uncle Zane picked out my pink dress when out shopping with mom. I think he did good - maybe he will be a famous fashion designer when he grows up!

And here I am in the lovely Texas Bluebonnets. See you all again soon!

Quick Update

Everyone - Mom meant to help me update this last night, but somehow forgot, so here is a quick update until we can get my Easter photos uploaded (I LOVE marshmallow eggs, but more on that next time...). We should be moved into the new house on Saturday. We picked out our washer, dryer, and refrigerator last night and I have been moving car loads of stuff with Dad all week. I am very excited about my new room! Anyhow, here is a photo of me at the park and many more photos should be up by the weekend!

Springtime Snowflakes at Our New House

On March 12th, we closed on our new house. Here is a photo of it from this morning (and yes, we still live in Dallas, in case you were thinking we had perhaps moved to the North Pole...). I love the house. It is still pretty empty and I really like to yell and listen to my voice echo. I also love to close myself in the kitchen cupboards and to sit and play in the grass out back. We should be all moved in by early next month.
Here is the living room. This fireplace will be great for Santa come December!

And this is my backyard. It is so BIG...

This is my room. It is bright and cheery just like me!

Hope you like the house, I am sure you will be seeing more of it soon...

My Personality is Really Starting to Shine!

Hi there everybody. Now that I am one, my personality is really starting to come through. I am a loud, funny, and bouncy little girl. I have learned how to say "Jackie" (pretty clearly too) and use it to refer to Jackie (my dog) and any other dog that I see. I am not at all afraid of voicing my opinions and let Mom and Dad know what is on my mind. I also really hate the word "No." Why are there so may things in this world that a little girl can't play with (light sockets...glass picture frames..dirty diapers...full cups of juice or soda...come on people!)? Here are some photos from the last few weeks:

Thank you for the shades Mary Margaret. I really LOVE them!

And thanks for the necklace YaYa. I know that it looks broken, but trust me, it is better this way.

Dad loves this shirt. It is true too - I can climb up the stairs, onto the couch and up mom and dads legs - I am a little Monkey!

I am tall enough to reach EVERYTHING!

In the end though I am still cute as a button :-).

Most of the time....

One Year down!

I am ONE!!! Yes, Mom and Dad kept me alive for an entire year (I know the grandparents were a bit worried about that...). In light of my making it this far, they even threw me a party. Not just a cake and streamers party either, but an all out Dr. Seuss bash!!!

Here I am with my Friends Nolan, Marin, and Topher.
This was my present from Mom and Dad. I LOVE it. I ride it all around the house.

Balloons are such fun!

And I ate the cake by the handfuls! A whole cake just for me!

And this is the cake before I got it (It is Cat's Hat!)
